On 28th June 2019, WFP CPs partners in Puntland held a farewell party in honour of Mr. Abubakar Sadiq – WFP Puntland who has concluded his term in Puntland as area Head
The farewell party was a gesture to express our gratitude and appreciation as WFP corporate partners in Puntland to Mr. Abubakar for his hard work and services to the Puntland communities and WFP CPs in Puntland for many years he has been working with us, through his great help, assistance and guidance we managed to successfully undertake various community projects and programs that transformed thousands of lives in the region.
The event was held at Grand Hotel in Garowe and was attended by various CPs namely: Save children, Saacom, KDO, SDC, Asal, DRRO, SW, PDO, NDO, TSS, PSA, PRDO, Wv, Mercy US and SHILCON.
Speaker after speaker at the event could not find adequate words to express their affection and gratitude for all that Abubakar has done to the communities in Puntland and for being a leader, mentor and friend to many.
He has been selflessly committed to the Puntland’s community from his first month as area manager to his emotional farewell. It is his vision that will continue to serve as the guiding force as WFP CPs in Puntland and he leaves behind a legacy of vision and growth.
Abubakar also used the occasion to thank all the CPs for their full support and understanding and admitted to have made a lot of friends including gaining immense experience on various issues during his time in Puntland.
We wish him much joy & happiness in his future endeavors.
